This job is of easy to moderate difficulty. The valve covers should first be unbolted from the cylinder heads. The bad gaskets can the be removed and residual material be scrapped off. This is to allow for clean mounting surface. The new gaskets can then be installed. These may be either dry, or require gasket sealer. The valve covers should be run through parts cleaner or solvent if available. Once they are placed back on the gasket they should be torqued, but not to the extent of crushing the new gaskets. The vehicle can then be restarted to observe for leaks.
