If You are asked to cut a 12 foot board into three pieces two pieces are to have the same length and the third is to be twice as long as the other how are the pieces?

12 foot in 3 peicies in which two are of same lenght say as x and x and the third one is twice of other i.e. 2x then

x+x+2x = 12

4x=12

x=3

so two are of 3 foot each and one is of 6 feet long
