Did captain jack sparrow kill the kraken?

Captain Jack Sparrow did not kill the Kraken in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" film series. The Kraken is portrayed as a legendary sea monster that attacks ships, including the Black Pearl. In "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest," it is actually Davy Jones who controls the Kraken and ultimately unleashes it against Sparrow and his crew.
