Why is Rikki tiki tavi a good name for Riki in the story Riki tiki Ravi?

Rikki-tikki-tavi is a short story written by Rudyard Kipling and published in 1894 as part of the Jungle Book. It is about a mongoose, adopted by an English family living in India, and how he repays their kindness by protecting them from the two King Cobras, Nag & Nagaina.
