Curlews, particularly the Eurasian curlew and the whimbrel, face predation from a variety of animals. Their main predators include Birds of Prey such as eagles and hawks, as well as mammals like foxes and domestic dogs. Eggs and chicks are particularly vulnerable to predation by ground-nesting species like crows and gulls. Additionally, habitat loss and human activities can increase their exposure to predators.
