Briefly discuss the difference between billable revenue and collections?

Billable revenue is the money receive by the practice from the patients who have received services or care. Collections are the money that is yet to be received because the patients inability to pay. Billable revenue can help and hurt a practice. It can help when it us received but can hurt because it can turn into collections, which may never be received.
