Why is Lean Startup becoming popular?

Lean Startup creates all kinds of responses from the business community because many of us feel part of that narrative, as with all meta-narratives. Because it's just part of a wider set of tales that many of us have been acting out for some time, to varying degrees, "Lean" as a concept doesn't belong to anyone. There's a developing view that it is only a trend.
