Funny, I just finished doing this a few minutes ago. The temp sensor is located at the back of the front cylinder behind the horn. It looks kind of like a spark plug with an oval plastic end. You will need a 3/4" deepwell socket to remove it. I am sure there is a special sensor tool Harley sells to remove it, but I modified a 3/4" spark plug socket with a 7/8" hex on top by cutting 1/4" off the top and bottom with a cutting wheel for clearance between the cylinders. You remove the horn, pull back the rubber cover, lift the clip that snaps the wire in place, pull out the wire, slip the socket over the tool and use a 7/8" wrench (or a ratchet) to break the sensor loose, remove the tools and spin out the sensor out by hand. Reverse the procedure to install the new one. Be careful not to crossthread the sensor as it has fine brass threads. This is an easy job.
