What kind of fuel is made from the fossils of dinosaurs?

The term "fossil fuels" refers to coal, oil, natural gas and their derivatives, which come from plant life. The dinosaurs themselves didn't contribute much to the fuel. The energy which is captured in hydrocarbons came originally from the Sun. One writer has rather poetically referred to fossil fuels as "ancient sunlight."
