1) There are 'blue vampyres and 'red vampyres'.

2) The blue vamypres are marked by a tracker and go the the house of night to begin the transition into a vampyre.

3) Red vampyres are fledglings that haven't survived the change and were turned into a new sort of vampire by Neferet

4) If you don't go to the house of night after you have been 'Marked' by the Tracker then you will die.

5) Not all of the people that are marked survive the change, as there body doesn't like what it is becoming.
