Does the advantages of database outweigh the disadvantages?

Advantages

1.Can save enormous amounts of paper as well as filing space

2.Data can easily be entered by keyboard or scanners

3.Data can easily be changed or updated

...etc

Disadvantages

1.The computer(s) and peripheral required can cost a lot

2.Some databases can be complicated to use

3.Data held about people may be incorrect
