When and where did Prince Charles marry lady Diana Spencer?

Lady Diana chose St. Paul's Cathedral in the city of London Proper, and Prince Charles agreed, forgoing the usual choice of Westminster Abbey, where most royal marriages take place. Westminster Abbey is the center of The Church of England, since Edward VIII broke from Catholicism to be able to divorce his first wife. Since that time, the reigning British Monarch is the "Head of the Church of England, and Defender of the Faith", which is one of the many titles Queen Elizabeth II holds. At her coronation, she took a vow to do this.
