What is a civit cat?

A civet cat, often simply called a civet, is a small to medium-sized mammal belonging to the family Viverridae. Native to tropical Asia and Africa, civets have a cat-like appearance with a long body, short legs, and a distinctive long, bushy tail. They are known for their unique scent glands, which produce a substance called civetone, used in perfumery. Civets are also nocturnal and omnivorous, feeding on fruits, insects, and small animals.
