What do the three main pigs in animal farm represent?

Snowball represents Leon Trotsky, and Napolean is based on Joseph Stalin. Stalin was the leader of the Soviet Union from around 1929 until 1953. Stalin had Trotsky killed for being a threat to his rule.

I am unaware of Squealer's historical base.
