What does above 10000 mean on stock exchange?

In itself it means absolutely nothing.

The number has meaning only when you compare it to historical data for several years back for the same stock exchange. Even then, it doesn't say much about whether the stock marketwill climb or fall in the future. It is primarily useful to compare the Stock Market today with what it was last month or last year.
