When did they stop making Delorians?

DeLorean Motor Company ceased production of the DeLorean DMC-12 in 1982. The company faced financial difficulties and filed for bankruptcy that same year. Although production was limited to around 9,000 units, the DeLorean has since become an iconic car, largely due to its appearance in the "Back to the Future" film trilogy.
