Does a dandelion breathe

Dandelions, like other plants, do not breathe in the same way animals do, but they do undergo a process called respiration. They take in oxygen and release carbon dioxide, primarily at night when photosynthesis is not occurring. During the day, they absorb carbon dioxide from the air for photosynthesis, which produces oxygen. Overall, while they don't "breathe" per se, they do exchange gases essential for their survival.
