What did Elvis's teachers think of him?

Elvis Presley's favorite teacher was Mrs. Oleta Grimes. At first he was hoping he would not get her because she had a reputation for being harsh. However after she heard him sing a song, she took him to Mr. Cole the principles office to let him sing to him. Both were highly impressed and this encounter led Elvis to enter and win a prize in the Mississippi-Alabama Fair and Dairy Show.
