What is correct tire size for 1974 Ford Maverick 4 dr?

C78-14 is the original size on most of them. The rims are only 4 1/2 inches wide, so, you would be better off going to a larger/wider wheel. 205/70R14 is the closest modern tire that will fit on the rims.
