Deborah Sampson lived as an adult in several places, primarily in Massachusetts. After her service in the Revolutionary War, she settled in the town of Sharon, where she married Benjamin Gannett in 1785. The couple later moved to the nearby town of Plympton, where they raised their family. Sampson is remembered for her contributions to the war and her efforts to secure benefits for veterans.
