Four methods, depending on the chandelier and the ceiling rose: 1. Non-electrical, real chandelier (candle power) — 5mm thick screw hook into the ceiling positioned to go into a ceiling joist or into a large (20cm x 20cm) piece of plywood to spread the load; 2. For small chandelier, with no ceiling rose (flat ceiling mount) use a chandelier hook, either the small fixed hook or the adjustable cover set up; 3. For the small/medium chandelier with ceiling rose, either mount the chandelier/adjustable cover in the middle of the rose, or drill the rose 8mm and use a metal bridge, 8mm threaded tube and terminal loop through the rose (in both cases the fastening screws must go into a ceiling joist or noggin between two joists; 4. For large chandeliers you need specialist engineering help. Paul - paul.morrison1@tesco.net
