Actually, the popular series of Children's Books, written by Barbara Park, has been banned or censored in numerous libraries and schools since the first one came out in 2006. The reasons parents give for wanting these books banned are that the lead character, a little girl of first-grade age, is often rude, uses poor grammar, and is much too outspoken. Parents feel she sets a bad example for young kids. But kids who read the Junie B. Jones books love them and they are frequently best-sellers, despite parental objections.
