Merits and demerits of high population growth in Africa?

The growing population has increased the work force due to more young people in the population. Family attachment is high. People are able to cultivate their own crops within their family on a small scale. However some demerits are: Infant mortality and widespread AID have increased the Death Rate due to poor medical awareness and facility. Growth in the economy is very slow due to more population.
