Robert Frost worked at the University of Michigan one year. One of his friends there, was Harley Harris Bartlett, Chair of the botany Department. One night, they were so engrossed in conversation that they kept walking each other home. It was snowing. Eventually, Bartlett had the last leg of the walk, during which he slipped into a construction ditch.
