1. Graduate College (4 years) 2. Apply to, and be accepted by a Medical School. 3. Graduate Medical School (4 years) 4. Apply for, and be accepted by a Surgical Residency Training Program at a teaching hospital 5. Complete the Residency Program (4 to 8 years, depending on what type of Surgery) 6. Pass your Specialty Board Certification examination.
