Are there any differences between managing a human services organization and managing a business?

While the underlining foundation of a human service organization and managing a business is very similar, the mission and other factors are what make them different. The attitudes community involvement and other important features are discussed

Human Services is a broader field (sometimes referred to as social services or social work) dedicated to improving the human condition. It can cover health care (including mental health, drug & alcohol programs, and rehabilitation services), disability, public assistance/welfare, and children's & family services (including adoption, foster services, child care, domestic violence, and sometimes juvenile justice).

Human Services are provided primarily by public agencies (federal, state, and regional governments), as well as hospitals and non-profit/charitable organizations.
