It could be however reactions to mri contrast are uncommon. Reactions are more often seen with use of contrast in x-ray and ct procedures due to the iodine content. Mri contrast does not contain iodine, it is made with gadolinium.With that being said anyone can have a rection to just about anything. I would suggest taking some benadryl. If it doesnt improve maybe a call to your doctor wouldn't hurt. Of course if you experienced anything like shortness of breath or swelling of the face go to the emergency room.
