What to expect after colposcopy?

Expect a bit of bleeding, nothing major. It felt like period cramps for the next 24 hours. I recommend taking the day off work if you can, I had mine done in the morning and i was fine to go back to work the next day, but I was definitely glad that i took the day off for the day of the procedure. The procedure itself is not very painful, I got myself all worked up over the thought of it, but it was less painful than expected.
