How Often Dogs get sick?

Maltese terriers are generally a healthy breed. They can occasionally suffer from ear infections caused by a build up of hair in their ears, so air cannot circulate. They can also suffer from luxating patella, White Shaker Dog Syndrome, portosystemic liver shunt and progressive retinal atrophy. They usually live for 12-15 years.
