When do dogs stop coming into season?

Dogs typically come into season for the first time around six months of age, but this can vary by breed. They usually experience heat cycles every six to twelve months. Most dogs will continue to come into season until they reach around 5 to 7 years of age, though some may experience a decrease in the frequency or intensity of their cycles as they age. Spaying can prevent heat cycles altogether.
