What does dereidel means?

Dreidel is a traditional spinning top played with during Hanukkah. Each side of the dreidel is marked with a Hebrew letter, which stands for the saying "Nes Gadol Haya Sham" meaning "A great miracle happened there." Participants in the game typically place bets or tokens in a pot and take turns spinning the dreidel.
