L200, 2000, crew cab, hard to start, here are my findings after a lot of work !!
Replace fuel pump , still the same
Fit electronic switch to stop fuel running back to tank !!....didnt work
Changed all filters....didnt work
changed heater plugs....didnt work
RESULT.....................was this , in the top of the tank is a rubber pipe into fuel tank, remove this and replace with plastic type fuel pipe and use silicone sealer on top of the tank, works a treat !!
The problem is that the rubber pipe after time becomes Pourus and lets air into the fuel line feed, replace it and all was well
you sort out your problem
I had the same problem. The starter brushes looked like good but they were not. Replaced the brushes and now start like new. There was no problem on cold starting. When hot starter don't crank fast and that was the problem.
