Which is best iptv or internet television?

I'm not sure what is iptv, but it looks like it is some paid service. I usually watch TV online using a program called "Free online tv" or something like that. It is free and I'm pretty sure that there are many similar free apps coming up in google results:) btw the quality of streaming is rather good and there are so many channels from all over the world:)
