Can rotten fruit kill you

Extremely helpful- sometimes it is easy to assume that it is fine that there is a bit of mold or mushiness on fruit, especially when you are trying to make as much out of it as possible so you do not waste. However, it is comforting that bad fruit may contain dangerous bacteria or poisons that may even get you very ill. No doubt a lesson to be more careful of fruit and never to eat it unless you are quite sure. It would not be worth the risk to be healthy!
