Why was Maisy Mouse cancelled?

This may have to been done due to controversy in a episode where Might Mouse was interpreted to be using cocaine. There may be other reasons as to why it was taken off air. However, Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon studiOS have announced that they plan on creating a motion picture film with the use of a computer generated image(CGI) of Mighty Mouse scheduled to be released this year.(2013)
