What are the job duties and responsibilities of data entry clerk?

Data entry jobs are basically back office jobs. You might be required to copy certain specific information from business or legal document or any such document as may be required by the client company with the sole objectives to maintain a database for their business modules. However in certain companies you may be required to do a little amount of analysis based on the data saved or accumulated during the preceding one month or quarter and eventually send a report to the client but this role will completely depend upon your role in the team or the department. If you are a fresher , I am afraid you may not be given the role as an analysis from the moment you join the company but as and when you gain experience and thereby contribute more towards the total productivity you will surely climb up the organization ladder very soon. I strongly feel that data entry jobs are a good initial breakthrough you you have just completed your Bachelor degree( BA,B.Com. B.Sc)
