How do you remove the headlight assembly on a 2003 Subaru Forester It must be removed to change bulbs other than headlamp?

according to the manual you have to remove the front grill and plastic lamp cover then unbolt the lamp housing to remove it then replace the bulbs - unfortunately it is very vague as to the exact procedure for removing the front grill.

I dont think you actually have to remove the headlight assembly, you open the hood and get to the bulb through the back side of the headlight.
