"Hibiscus" is a scientific (Latin) name to a group of several flowers, in general beautiful and delicate, being some yellow, others white or red. In some ancient societies (like Egyptian) it was connected to goddess Isis, who was supposed to protect nature, mothers (wives and women in general), but also fishers, rich folks and governors, even representing simplicity and delicacy (as a certain history says...).
"Pua aloalo" is the name of some hibiscus in Hawaiian language, probably meaning delicacy, beauty and simplicity, maybe all together.
