I lost 60 lbs by exercising on a treadmill daily for 30 min weekdays and an hour on weekends. If I couldn't do treadmill, I would walk outside, jump rope, ride a bike or do aerobics from tapes. If you make it a mission to move aerobically at least six days a week, it will help you get skinny.

Also, I was on weight watchers which helps you cut your calories and eat healthier. You cannot get skinny with exercise alone unless you're burning near Olympic athlete level calories. Diet is extremely important.

Patience is also important. Depending on how much you need to lose it could take 6 weeks to a year. Commit to the long haul, change your eating habits, and exercise regularly. You will get skinny and stay skinny that way.
