What was the first Pokemon made?

pikachu was s a huge hit among Pokemon fans. That's true but bulbasaur was the first Pokemon to be drawn. Arceus was the first to exist in the Pokemon legends.

But in all actuality, the first Pokemon to be created by Game Freak was Phydon. This is a common mistake people make, as most would assume Pikachu or Bulbasaur, but Rhydon was created before any other.
