Is the new American gladiators real or fake staged?

i think its fake for the following reasons: 1. it looks fake. During the 2 hour opener not one contestant "interview" included normal conversational filler Words like "ummm" "like" "err" "you know" etc. furthermore the action was at times bizarrely dramatic. The final girls race was absurd the way the lead girl was just flopping around on the treadmill while the other contestant came from way behind with the most affected look agony and crashed through the wall to immediately delivered a siccinct interview about how it was the greatest feeling ever. 2. They dont claim it to be "real" action. On their website they call it an event/competition show. If its real then itll be simple for them to respond to peoples questions by just stating that its real. I doubt this will happen. Pro Wrestling was eventually forced to call themselves entertainment after years of insisting it was real. Gladiators doesnt claim to be real. which brings me to my third point 3. It doesnt have to be real! So if you are NBC why risk boring competitions or ineffectual contestants if you can just predetermine the way pro wrestling does (and jerry springer) to ensure drama. 4. The last reason is just because they brought in Hogan. If you wanted an expert on this type of scripted action and entertainment who else is better qualified?
