Kinds of gun permit

That depends entirely on where you are, and what you want to do. In the US, on a Federal level, there are permits/ licenses to be a dealer in guns, an importer, manufacturer, collector, dealer or manufacturer of machine guns, etc. Some states require a permit to purchase a gun or possess a gun, and a different permit to carry a gun, or carry a gun concealed.
