What colour clothes did robin hood's merry men wear?

While most recent writings about Robin Hood place him in Sherwood Forest, which is in Nottinghamshire, the earliest sources of the legend, which are ballads dated before 1450, place him in Barnsdale Heath, which is in Yorkshire, about fifty miles north of Sherwood Forest.
