Is a tummy tuck painful

In my opinion, it depends on how in shape your muscles are before the surgery. I just had a tummy tuck done last week. Beforehand, I had read a lot of women saying how much pain they were in and how long it lasted. I also did a lot of exercise before. I had a hernia repaired, along with muscle tighting, but other than that, I only had loose skin to deal with. I've never had a fat stomach and under all that skin my muscles were very tone. I was in pain for the first two to three days and by the six day, I was off of pain medication. Now my skin just feels really tight. It has been 8 days and I can almost stand up straight completely. I am very happy with my results and it was well worth it.
