How does one obtain a Certificate of Good Standing?

A Certificate of Good Standing is used by a business to prove they are legally allowed to conduct business. To obtain one you can you need to order it for a fee from your states Secretary of State. It can usually be ordered online, over the phone or through traditional mail. There is also a fee for this certificate.
