Do empires exist today

While traditional empires as political entities have largely disappeared, the influence of powerful nations can resemble imperial dynamics. Countries like the United States and China exert significant economic, military, and cultural influence globally, often leading to discussions about neocolonialism or modern Imperialism. Additionally, multinational corporations can also wield power that affects global politics and economies, echoing imperial characteristics. Thus, while empires in the classical sense may not exist, elements of imperialism persist in various forms today.
