I believe this is an Avestan ( ancient religious language of Persia) Word, meaning without end, boundless ,without boundary....google for Zervan Akarana , you will find the meaning as spirit without end, spirit without boundary...karana even now in Iran means end and boundary, and "a" is a negative prefix making akarana to mean without boundary or boundless.

Akarana is also the Maori translation of the name "Auckland" which is the largest city in New Zealand. The names of many clubs and organisations in Auckland begin with the Word Akarana.
