Where did the Porsche boxster cars originate?

Porsche Boxster cars originated in Germany and some parts of Finland. The cars first came out in 1996, and were designed to be a roadster car. The Boxster was Porsche's top selling car from the time it was introduced in 1996 until 2003, when the Cayenne SUV came out and took its place.
