Where is the serial number located on a 1978 Glastron boat?

I have a 1981 Glastron bass boat and my serial number is located on the back of the boat on the port side near the top right corner. It was imprinted into the fiberglass. Mine was hard to see, so i took a piece of paper, laid it on the boat, then ran a wax pen over it to get the impression out. Worked like a charm! You might have luck finding it there.
