She beat him brutally on a daily basis for doing nothing, she would smash his face against a mirror, or against the kitchen counter, she would force him to do all the chores around the house without any help or breaks, she would starve him for days in a row, she made him wear the same set of clothes for several years, and when he wasn't forced to do chores, he had to sit in the basement and not make any noise. Once, she actually stabbed him with a kitchen knife. She made him swallow cleaning fluid and bleach, as well as soap, and once put a bucket of cleaning fluid and bleach in the bathroom and locked the door, he almost died. What made it worse was that David had other brothers, who she treated very well.
